Tonight Stacey Y. Abrams will deliver the response to the State of the Union address. She will be the first black woman to do so. Her voice reverberates the people’s opinion. After her class act as a candidate for governor of Georgia, Stacey has demonstrated she is truly the woman for the job.
Abrams was raised amongst her six siblings in Gulfport, Mississippi. She went on to graduate from Spelman College and Yale Law School. Working for politicians writing speeches and novels, Stacey tirelessly registered voters. To be exact, over 200,000 people in three years.
Not bad for a little girl from Mississippi.
