A poem for a stand up friend still awaiting that liberty and justice for all.
Forget their lies and tall tales.
Forget the judge and the jail.
Forget the picture the world tried to paint.
Forget the sinner and the saint.
Forget the hunger pains,
forget lonely,
for get the rats,
forget phoney homies.
Forget the corruption.
Forget the cops that stole the last breath.
Forget your stress, they’ll live with the regret.
Forget your time away when we welcome you back,
You held us down and we’ll never forget that.
